Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1979, Clay Cox practices primarily in the areas of business organization law, including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, estate planning and probate and tax law.
While serving as a bankruptcy trustee, Clay oversaw thousands of bankruptcy cases, both large and small. After stepping down from his role as a US Bankruptcy Court Trustee after twenty-two years of service, Clay now offers his extensive of knowledge of both sides of the bankruptcy process to families and businesses struggling with financial difficulties.
Clay and his wife Kathleen are the proud parents of two grown sons both practicing attorneys, Christopher and Patrick. A resident of Bloomington-Normal for over 40 years, Clay Cox has served the community as President of the McLean County Arts Council, Treasurer of the Bloomington/Normal YMCA, Secretary of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, and volunteer for youth sports.
